What’s on Your Mind?

Our mind is a very powerful tool. We’re told that our brain carries signals to our mind to do everything that we do and then the mind carries those signals to the rest of our body – It is ALL in our minds – everything – our thoughts, our perceptions, our feelings, our will, our memory, even our imaginations – all in the mind.

Proverbs 23:7 says that as a man thinketh in his heart – so is he. So the essence of who we are is in our mind – in our thought life.

I Corinthians 10:3-5 says:

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Bring every thought into captivity – imprison every thought – arrest every thought – take into capture every thought.

In a book entitled “The Three Battlegrounds” author Francis Frangipane says that a demonic stronghold is any type of thinking that exalts itself above the knowledge of God. Thereby giving the devil a secure place of influence in an individual’s thought life. Any area of our heart or mind that is not surrendered to Jesus Christ is an area vulnerable to Satanic attack.

Have we taken into captivity – have we imprisoned – have we arrested – have we captured every thought – every argument, every perception, every feeling – every will, every memory, every imagination to the obedience of Christ? Or is our mind a secure place of influence readily available to Satanic attack?

What’s on your mind? What were thinking yesterday? What are you feeling right now? What were you imagining just a minute ago? What areas are you battling with in your mind? What have you not captured, not imprisoned, not arrested?

Surely, something to THINK about, huh?
