Diane Gordon

Diane Gordon is the wife of Dr. Raymond M. Gordon, Sr., pastor of St. Matthew’s Baptist Church, Williamstown, NJ. Diane is involved in fulltime ministry and is the mother of three children, Raymond, Jr., Diamond, and Rachel. Her desire is to live out the purpose of her life for His glory! We had a few questions for this awesome woman of God and here are her responses:

1. What is your life’s scripture?

John 10:10 10 – “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” and Is 43:7 – ”Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”

2. What does it mean to you to be able to inspire, encourage and empower other women in Christ?

I am humbled by the privilege and opportunity to inspire, encourage, and help women access the power of the Spirit of the Living God living within them. I also recognize it is a responsibility that I don’t ever want to take lightly or handle carelessly.

3. How do you advise women who want to get closer to Jesus Christ?

Women who want to get to closer to Jesus should nurture that desire by consistent conversations with Him. Listening to Him by reading His word and talking to Him in honest prayer. Seek to know His heart as well as share your heart with Him. Other spiritual disciplines like confession, meditation worship and praise are also helpful. The other thing I would mention to them is don’t be surprise when pain and suffering comes into their lives. We get to Know Jesus in the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering.

I am humbled by the privilege and opportunity to inspire, encourage, and help women access the power of the Spirit of the Living God living within them. I also recognize it is a responsibility that I don’t ever want to take lightly or handle carelessly.

4. What are the most important qualities that a Christian woman must possess?

The most important quality a Christian woman must possess is the fear of the Lord. It is the beginning of wisdom. Once we learn to stand in overwhelming awe and revere of the Lord and we begin to work on learning to love Him with all our hearts we will bear the fruit of the Spirit.

5. What do you want others to take most from your life?

The thing I want others to take from my life is anything good in me is Christ everything else is me. Also the same Holy Spirit who empowers me is the same Holy Spirit in them who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all they could ask or think of in their lives.
